Cupping is an ancient therapy used to treat stiffness, pain, and inflammation. During your session, the Massage Therapist will apply cups to the areas of tension and focus. The cups will create a suction on the muscle and then remain stationary or moved to assist in tension relief. The cups are used in conjunction with massage techniques for a relaxing and therapeutic experience. Please note that cupping may result in mild bruising due to the increased blood flow to the affected area.

When we hold tension in the jaw area, it can result in pain, stiffness, grinding, clicking, and headaches. These symptoms can be a sign that the joint in the jaw area isn’t functioning properly and in need of tension relief. This treatment focuses specifically on releasing the surrounding muscles of the jaw that are contributing to TMJ dysfunction, headaches, and neck and shoulder pain.
